During a engagement to a cathedral in Staffordshire on Monday, King Charles was confronted by a man who questioned him about Prince Andrew's connections with convicted sex offender Epstein.

The man demanded to know how long the monarch had been aware about his sibling's association with Jeffrey Epstein, and also raised doubts about whether he had asked the authorities to "cover up" for Prince Andrew.

Despite the heckling, there were throngs of supporters and applause for the King, who was visiting the region for an event.

Prince Andrew's connections with Jeffrey Epstein have been under intense scrutiny in the past few weeks. The prince, who gave up his titles earlier this month, has strongly denied any misconduct.

"For how long have you been aware about Andrew and Jeffrey Epstein? Did you request the police to cover up for Andrew?"

The monarch remained silent but carried on meeting supporters, some of whom chanted "God Save The King". One fan can be overheard requesting him for a embrace.

Another woman outside the cathedral was also heard telling the heckler to "leave" and to "be quiet".

Scandal Reignited by Posthumous Publication

The controversy over Prince Andrew's links to Jeffrey Epstein has been brought back into focus by sexual abuse allegations repeated in Ms. Giuffre's posthumously-published memoir.

In the publication, Ms Giuffre alleges she had sexual encounters with the royal on three separate occasions, including once with Epstein and "eight other young girls"

Andrew, who agreed to a financial settlement with Ms Giuffre in recent years, has consistently denied any wrongdoing. In 2019, he told BBC Newsnight he did not recall meeting her "at all", and that they "did not have any sort of sexual contact."

New Inquiries About Lifestyle and Housing

But recently, fresh questions have been asked about how he is able to finance his lifestyle despite not being a working royal.

The revelation that he has only ever paid a token annual rent on his Windsor mansion has intensified the scrutiny over his housing situation - even though he made significant contributions initially, including for improvements.

The political party said he should be called in front of members of parliament to give evidence about his lease of his residence.

But last week, the authorities declined to give MPs time to debate the prince's status or his residence, despite increasing calls for investigation.

The royal household has not issued a statement on whether Prince Andrew might relocate of his current residence - or where he might reside.
