In a bizarre partnership that defies conventional predictions, Ubisoft has announced an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Adventure Uncovered

According to the formal announcement, "A strange confrontation pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where whispers of prohibited ceremonies and terrifying transformations reverberate through the obscurity." The plot introduces a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a clandestine sect.

The questline centers on "peculiar experiments and a monstrous enemy" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Iconic Settings and Metamorphoses

The trailer features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser ends with a striking scene showing a character, probably the prisoner, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Items and Bonus Content

Players who finish the mission will receive an special katana in addition to several objects secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
